The week that was! fantastic

As the snow is still settling, the hangovers are gone and the boards are rewaxed and awaiting the next trip, we can reflect on a great week.

The snow was there though maybe not bumper to start the week, but gave plenty of opportunity to work on pure technique and get the fundimentals down, iron out the problems.

Then as the snow started to fall in earnest we took those new found skills and had loads of fun.

Mid week we were joined by James Stentiford, Jamie Nicholls and Ollie Jackson from team Quiksilver, for some shredding and munching.
Snowboarding aside we had pilates, secret santa, an education in board tech as well as the sex lives of animals (you had to be there), 2 parties, 6 great days on the hill and whole bunch of great times.

We would like to say a huge thank you to all those that attended our performance and girls camps, and made it super fun, for us as well. To the gals and guys at Quiksilver for all the goodies and riding with us.
There will be more dairy entries and photos to follow, in the mean time a super happy new year and xmas to you all.

Avoriaz to ourselves

Took a wee drive upto Avoriaz yesterday, to see for ourselves all the lovely snow up top. Just so happened to have our boards with us and rode all way down to Prodain.

First run of the season and didn't see another soul.

Quiksilver team have sorted their diary

As the snow is here and our first camps are but weeks away, everybody is getting thier plans for winter sorted. This includes the Quiksilver snow team and we can confirm that we will at least be joined in Dec by the talents that are James Stentiford, Jamie Nicholls and Ollie Jackson and for January can add Henry Shackelton to the list.

Super stoked to have them coming and great opportunity to meet and get advice from some true legends.

The mountains are alive with the sound of Tammy

Yesterday Tammy and few others took a little (few hours) walk to the Col de Coux. This at the head of the valley de la Manche, or just out the back of Avoriaz. Either way it is a pretty good indication of what the conditions are like on the mid slopes around Avoriaz and Fornet. I'll let the pictures speak thier thousnad words, but like to add its looking pretty good.

Ahh home sweet Morzine

We survived! The big city, the ski show, London Freeze and the journey home, but all soo good.
We hijacked the Quiksilver stand at the ski show (they did let us honest) and invited our dudes down to represent

and hand out flyers. Cosmic, this super nice artist from Cornwall was in town (to be on Blue Peter, believe it or not) and found time to add the final touches to what seemed like our home for 5 days. Great opportunity to spread the word and catch up with a lot of friends and we are already seeing the word come back with loads of new people signing up for the camps.
The following weekend was The London Freeze, not sure whether it was a snowboard event with music or the other way round, but saw some great riding, heard some good bands (none of whom I'd heard of before) and handed out loads of flyers. Oh and maybe drunk quite a lot of cider. Was really great to see an event on in battersea again.

Whilst Tammy jetted off to Saas Fee, for the women in board sports retreat (www.womeninboardsports.blogspot.com) me and Emma had a quick visit to the isle of white and Thomas world, before the long drive home. How nice is it to come home to winter proper, a town covered in an icing of snow and a need to dig out the down jacket and winter woolies.

Tammy's off to Col de Coux today to see how the snow is lying up top, so be sure to let you know later.

Ciao

London calling

We are coming to town (if you live near London), otherwise it's a town thats not to interesting for you.
We have a stand at the metro ski show in Olympia 21-24th of this month (Oct). We will be in the brand arena by the fashion show. Please come by and say hello, we will have a nice sofa to sit on so you can take a break during your tour of the show and watch the fashion parade or one of the latest snowboard movies on our tv and chat to us about all things snow.
We are also going to be at Freeze the weekend after in Battersea, to watch some riding and jump around to some music all in the name of fun,
Hopefully see you whilst were there.

Our new website

Our new website is up and running. Good chance if your reading this you know already, but we are super stoked about it. Huge thank you to mark and the guys at Origin for thier work, couple of things to finish and tie down but it's gonna be good.
